This is a twinset made from the round neck cardigan and the slash neck, cap sleeved summer top shown below, here they are both shown here in the striped version, but instructions are also given for plain versions of both garments. Knitted in Sable Crepe and available in sizes 34"-42". (Larger sizes are in Book 14).

Here is the same round neck cardigan knitted in just one colour, it could be worn with either the striped or plain version of the cap sleeved top or with any of the other tops in this book. Knitted in stocking stitch in Sable Crepe and available in sizes 34"-42". (Larger sizes are in Book 14).

A cap sleeve is an easy and quick
way to make a short sleeved top, instructions for plain and striped versions are given.
This is a very quick top to make as the neckline is simply cast off and allowed to roll outwards. Knitted in stocking stitch in 4 ply Acrylic Crépe and available in sizes 34"-42". (Larger sizes are in Book 14 but the garment is slightly different).

Easy to wear, classic summer top. Designed with
V neck and square armholes, the body of this top is knitted in
stocking stitch whilst the short sleeves may be knitted in either stocking
stitch or your favourite lace pattern. Knitted in 4 ply Acrylic

A sleeveless tuck stitch top and, again,
the neckline is simply cast off and allowed to roll inwards giving a
smooth, modern look.
Perfect on its own for summer or as part of a summer twinset, this top would also look classy knitted in cream and worn under a navy blue cardigan for the classic French summer look, or with a russet coloured cardigan in the autumn. Knitted in 4 ply Acrylic Crépe and available in sizes 34"-42"

| These garments were all designed for, and knitted in, 4 ply Acrylic crepe (supplied by Bonnies or Bramwells); this yarn has a twist which gives the resultant fabric a more crisp look and a bright sheen. Bramwell's Artistic can usually be substituted and it may be worth trying an Acrylic/cotton mix, such as Yeoman's Panama, which will also give a crisper look but with less sheen. | |||||
