The short sleeved top shown opposite has a
garter
carriage pattern which is full of texture and interest, but which is still quite
a 'small' pattern and so it is very easy to wear.
The version shown here has short sleeves (square armhole) but the pattern also includes instructions for long sleeves. Using Sable Crepe 4 ply Acrylic, a yarn which has a pretty sheen and holds texture well, the pattern is written for sizes 30"-44". |

| The second design in this book also has instructions
for short sleeves and long sleeves.
If you haven't used Sable Crepe before, you will find that it makes a medium weight garment and that the yarn tends to reflect light, giving the garment a bright, clean, crisp look. The crepe also holds garter carriage texture really well, as you can see from the detail on this picture. Also of interest are the specially designed borders, the neckband, cuffs and welt, which are unique to this stitch pattern and are designed specially to complement it. The pattern is written for sizes 30"-44". |

The third design in this book,
also in Sable Crepe, is a longline tunic.
This garment features a narrow neckband, long sleeves which finish in a contrasting band of pattern, and two contrasting patterns on the main garment. This is such a versatile pattern! Knitted as designed, it is like a border print, or either of the two patterns can be used on its own, resulting in three very different patterns. This pattern is written for sizes 34"-48". |
