Knitted in 4 ply Acrylic and wool mix, the shawl is made easily on the machine with a minimum of hand finishing on the corners only. The outer edges of the borders are finished with a simple effect which produces a scalloped edge when pressed - PLEASE NOTE - only the very edge of the border of the shawl is pressed so, again, there is very little work to do once the shawl has been knitted. The diagonally patterned 24 stitch punchcard design is very easy to punch out or to transfer to an electronic machine, the border pattern is one of the stock Brother designs. The yarn is a 4 ply Acrylic and wool mix. This really is for anyone who dislikes sewing or hand finishing as all the borders and the corner squares are attached and joined on the machine, this leaves only the yarn ends at the corners to be sewn in and neatened.
